Why isn't my sensor broadcasting a hotspot during installation?



Broadcasting a hotspot from Silver Shield is only necessary during the initial installation of the sensor.


If you aren't able to see Silver Shield's SSID during installation, please try these steps:


  • Ensure you press the sensor button for 3 seconds until its LED begins flashing green

  • Refresh the available list of SSIDs your device can connect to by turning your device's Wi-Fi off, and then back on.

  • Try using another device to search for the sensor hotspot
