In the Pontosense Care app, fall detection delay (sensitivity) is the amount of time taken by the algorithm to confirm a fall has occurred. A longer delay means that individuals have more time to recover from their fall, limiting false positives.
Note: 90 seconds is recommended for optimal fall detection accuracy.
1. Navigate to the room for which you’d like to change the fall detection delay.​

2. Tap Settings.
​
3. Tap Fall Detection Delay.
​
4. Select your preferred delay duration. Tap Save.

Select a home to access the Rooms view.
Rooms view
The Rooms view shows the real-time occupancy status of each room in a home for convenient monitoring, 24/7. Tap a room to see the real-time location of a loved-one.

Swipe right to see the Timeline view, which provides meaningful insights on resident habits throughout the day, helping you detect unusual behaviour.
Alerts Feed
See an up-to-date log of all events occurring in your homes to understand high-risk areas and keep loved-ones safe.

Adding furniture zones to a room provides context on a loved one’s location and activity (e.g. lying in bed or sitting on the couch). Zones can also highlight areas where falls are more likely to occur, helping caregivers monitor high-risk spots.

Users can add the following zone types:​

Bed

Couch

Door
-
Medication station​

Toilet
Required materials: Tape measure (for zoning furniture that is not a default size)
1. Navigate to a room you'd like to add furniture to.

2. Tap +Add Zone.
​
3. Again, tap +Add Zone.
​
4. Select your zone type depending on the furniture in the room.
​
5. Select the appropriate furniture size. You can change this later.
​
6. If your furniture is not a default size, measure its length and width using measuring tape, and enter the values on screen.
​
7. Drag the furniture to match its location in the room. You can physically move around the room with the presence icon to orient the furniture's location. For example, sitting on the couch will move the presence icon to the couch's location in real-time.

8. When the dimensions and location of the furniture is correct, tap Save and Complete.

1. In the Pontosense Care app, tap Forgot Password?

2. Type in the email associated with your account and tap Send to receive a verification code.
​
3. In your email, locate the email with subject line "Your one-time verification code". Be sure to check your spam folder.
​
4. Enter the verification code and set up a new password.

Bed exit alerts can be configured to allow care providers to be notified that a person is getting out of bed during a set time frame, for peace of mind. Alerts are set for specific beds.
1. Navigate to a room you'd like to set an alert for.

2. Tap Settings.
​
3. Tap Bed Exit Alerts.
​
4. Enter your timezone, alert window, and repeat cadence.
​
5. Tap Save.
​
6. Ensure that notifications for Pontosense Care are enabled in your phone settings.
