September 17, 2025 - Assisting Hands® 360Care program, powered by Silver Shield, brings families peace of mind, equips caregivers with new tools for efficiency, and sets the stage for nationwide expansion.

Assisting Hands®, one of the fastest-growing in-home care providers in the United States, today announced a groundbreaking deployment of its 360Care program in partnership with Pontosense, a global leader in privacy-first radar and AI technology. Together, the companies are introducing Silver Shield, a contactless AI monitoring solution, as a core component of Assisting Hands 360Care across six franchise locations in the Greater DC area.

With a national network of more than 110 franchised offices, and 28 more opening soon, Assisting Hands is at the forefront of blending professional in-home care with innovative technology. The launch of 360Care in Greater DC serves as a model for how AI-powered monitoring can enhance safety and independence for families nationwide.

Unlike traditional monitoring systems, Silver Shield was built specifically for the home environment. Using ambient intelligence, it continuously detects wellness and risks while preserving dignity and independence. Integrated into 360Care, it provides caregivers with instant alerts, AI wellness reports, and escalation tools, reducing time spent on manual monitoring and allowing greater focus on compassionate, personal care.

“With the Assisting Hands 360Care program, Silver Shield enables our team to provide better care outcomes for families while saving valuable time,” said Dean Johnson, Assisting Hands Franchise Owner of Columbia, MD, and Area Representative of Maryland and Northern Virginia. “Our mission has always been to combine compassionate, dependable care with the best tools for our caregivers and families. 360Care allows us to do exactly that, enhancing care delivery and giving families greater peace of mind.”

Families and care teams also gain visibility through the Pontosense Care App, which provides updates and reassurance during off-hours. By pairing Assisting Hands’ professional oversight with the AI-powered monitoring of Silver Shield, 360Care empowers older adults to live safely and independently at home, all without cameras, microphones, or wearables.

“We are thrilled to bring Silver Shield into the hands of caregivers and families through the Assisting Hands® 360Care program,” said Alex Qi, Pontosense Co-Founder and CEO. “This first deployment in the Greater DC area demonstrates how Silver Shield delivers value in real-world caregiving, combining safety alerts, activity trends, and health insights in one privacy-first system. Together with Assisting Hands, we are setting a new national standard for home care: one that ensures safety, dignity, and greater independence for millions of families."

Silver Shield’s radar-based, camera-free technology is proven to perform in complex home environments where other solutions struggle. Beyond fall detection, its predictive AI insights flag potential health risks before they become emergencies - helping families and caregivers intervene earlier and more effectively.
